Glenn Frey the founder of Eagles is died at 67. He has been the song writer, guitarist and sung dozens of songs for Eagles.  This American rock band gave immortal hits songs like, Hotel California, take it easy, Desperado and Lyin’ eyes.  Eagles have been the greatest selling album of "Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975," of all time. The ubiquitous presence of Eagles on American radio for half a century marks their achievement.

The Eagles are world's best-selling bands of all time. 150 million records have been sold. Their 42 million copies of Their Greatest Hits (1971–1975) and 32 million copies of Hotel California make their success more special. "Their Greatest Hits (1971–1975)" was the best selling album of the 20th century in the U.S. It carved their name in music history of the world.

The Eagles released their debut album in 1972, which has singles: "Take It Easy", "Witchy Woman", and "Peaceful Easy Feeling". Their released next album in1973 titled Desperado, it was less successful but it gave two of the band's most popular tracks: "Desperado" and "Tequila Sunrise". Then in 1974 they released On the Border with added guitarist Don Felder, this album gave two hit singles "Already Gone" and "Best of My Love".

Their 1975's One of These Nights made The Eagles arguably America's biggest band. The album gave three singles: "One of These Nights", "Lyin' Eyes", and "Take It to the Limit". This took their success to commercial peak in late 1976. The same year they released Hotel California. This made record sale of more than 16 million copies in the U.S. alone and 32 million copies worldwide. The album had their heart crooning singles "New Kid in Town" and "Hotel California". Their last studio album released in 1979 as The Long Run, if gave us three top 10 singles: "Heartache Tonight", "The Long Run", and "I Can't Tell You Why".

The Eagles has their own blend of rock and country genre, they influenced many musicians by their songs such as "Desperado," "Already Gone" and "Take It to the Limit."

Glenn Frey was gifted song writer, Don Henley was a drummer. They collaborated and co-written many of the band's biggest hits. Henley most often sang lead vocals, Frey took guitar and piano. Their friendship proved to be the key to the band's harmony.

Detroit-born Frey and Henley founded the Eagles in 1971 in Los Angeles.  Henley says, Frey had enormous knowledge of popular music and he knew how to mix the different genre and instruments.

The Eagles band split in 1980, Frey made his successful solo career and gave us songs like, "The One You Love" and "The Heat Is On." Frey recorded songs for films and TV shows.  He aced a small part in 1996 film "Jerry Maguire."

In 1994, the Eagles reunited and gave a super hit album "Hell Freezes Over." The Eagles reigned last decade of last century and first decade of this century. They finished their last tour in last July.

The Eagles, who were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998 and have played many sold-out shows since their reunion, most recently completed a two-year tour last July

Glenn Frey had the lion share in the success of the band.  The Eagles inspired much country as well as rock bands across the globe. The Eagles will always be on music billboard for their timeless music.
