Event Management is the much talked buzz word today. We go to marriage, party, seminar, workshop, sports, music, blood donation camp we call it an event. Lately I saw posters of Sunny Leoni and other actors who were visiting some high profile shopping mall. I was shocked when I heard a beautician emphasizing on her ‘event ready’ makeup style specialization. Fair and Lovely launched the TVC saying get a look of ‘ramp ready’.

This century has altered the meaning of life. Event Management has stood like a main business stream. Unfortunately no university in India has the course dedicated to Event Management. I am teaching this subject from last 10 years.  I have seen the growth of Event Management as an Industry.

India has been a pool of talent. The mass communication graduates and the communication enthusiasts have started their small ventures. Today after the 10 years of globalization we find Event Management as a full-fledged industry.  Today we find this industry growing from small scale to medium scale and some startups have turned into Large scale companies.

WIZCRAFT -an international company opened their wings in Bombay 5 years back. They are into high profile celebrity and music sensations as their cliental. Brian Adams, Scorpions and many other are their regular clients.

PERCEPT -which is an offshoot of an advertising company they has the business acumen, they initiated sunburn, Britannica Filmfare Awards South 2015.

TAFCON - is a renowned name in organizing conferences, exhibitions and trade shows. Some of their events are Coal beneficiation, IME, Travel tourism and hospitality expo and other government events. They are known as active social media and brand themselves.

CINEYUG- the movie production house of films like, Damini, Raja Hindustani etc, has started Event Management wing that organizes live concerts, arena event and large scale award functions (Stardust and Zee Cine Awards in 2013).

PEGASUS- known for their corporate events like conferences, exhibitions, meetings, product launches and personal events like weddings and parties they expanded their business through go-to event management solution and cater Corporate and individuals alike.

70 EMG- alias Seventy entertainment management group is turned into one of the largest festival organizer. They organize festivals like Kala Ghoda Arts Festival, Goa Fest and the Nokia India Fest.

Encompass events -is a company, who has clients as state and central government, they organize State and national events, Exhibitions, Conferences and Conventions, Sporting activations and promotions. Lately they received lot of awards: 4 Cannes, 23 WOW, 28 EEMAX and 9 PMAA.

Procam Running -this company is famous among marathon runners Procam Running already. They organize marathons all over country for corporate like Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon, Airtel Delhi Half Marathon, TCS Bangalore (World 10k) and more.  

            Showtime Group- they are in to event who give experience to end user, they fetched awards like WOW, PINNACLE, EEMAX and GALA since last 5 years for raising their services. Their organize  conferences, road shows, product launches, sports, signature events, television and many more with clients like BMW, TAJ, Infosys, Louis Vuitton, Google.

WOW Events -specialized in Product launches, they have launched products like  G five, Hitachi I clean, Jaypee Cement, Orient fans and Ultratech premium cement launch among some big names. They have organized special events for HT city campus fashionista, The Anoushka Shankar Project and Max Bupa champions.

Satellite television boom and mushrooming reality tv programs nurtured the need of event management. The service sector has 57% contribution in Indian GDP. Event management industry is the only industry which has 40% per annum.

Event management has types of events like personal, corporate, social, online, industrial, in-house types.  Many individuals are exploring this business on their level. The Individual like Vandana Oswal who started Implacable Events in Pune, Kondhwa, I admire her as she has started event Management Company with some friends and contacts.

Event Management is the order of the day. This is the new development on industrial landscape.  Today all marketing guru’s are planning the event to include in their marketing or promotional strategy.
