India and #Metoo

Rahul Mate on #Metoo
2018 has been a #Metoo year. It is a first time ever when women came forward and talked about their harassment.  #metoo started with Alok Nath and then it took many music directors, directors and the famous M J Akbar in its reign.
I stand with all women; no woman can lie on this counter. It once again ripped apart the Indian male chauvinistic attitude towards women. Lately Sabrimala judgment put all male counterparts worrying, every male started thinking. if the women enter then?  I personally feel women should do all the jobs what men do. They should be allowed to be a Priest in temple and should become pontiff. Women are more hardworking and intelligent but in India they do not get the share they deserve.
This #Metoo has given the much needed push to Indian society and caste system. This #Metoo has made other women think about their rights and life. I feel we as mass communication experts should work on this. It is time to teach Indian male how to behave and how to respect the women. The television avatar of women should break the image of Bahu, Saans, Beti or Patni. Women should be portrayed in such a way where the rest will find inspiration from them.  Girls should and must reign the media industry. It will help them to put their problems across. This way the mindset of Indian society will change.
